The net income of FC Metalist Kharkiv, which came third in Ukraine's top soccer league last year, grew by 21.4% in 2011, to UAH 74.6 million.

According to annual reports released in the information disclosure system of the National Commission on Securities and the Stock Market, Metalist’s income exceeded that of Ukrainian champions FC Shakhtar Donetsk by 47.8% and FC Chornomorets Odesa, which returned to the Ukrainian Premier League in 2011 after one-year break, by 73.3%.

Shakhtar’s net income last past year fell by 2.8 times, to UAH 50.49 million, whereas Chornomorets’s income grew up by 2.7 times, to UAH 43.05 million.
Of the three clubs that submitted financial statements for 2011, only Chornomorets reported a net profit, UAH 1.15 million, which is 38.9% less than in 2010.

Metalist finished last year with a net loss of UAH 19.92 million, while a year earlier it showed a net profit of UAH 1.16 million, while Shakhtar’s net loss grew by 31.3%, to UAH 672.09 million.
