You're reading: Ukrainian Energoatom cuts net loss 18 percent in January-September

Ukrainian state-owned company Energoatom cut net losses 18.2 percent year-on-year in January-September 2014 to Hr 3.806 billion, the company said in a statement posted on the information disclosure system of the National Commission for Securities and the Stock Market.

Net earnings in January-September 2014 grew 31.6 percent to Hr 16.553 billion. Gross profit was Hr 268.59 million versus gross loss of Hr 2.989 billion in January-September 2013.

In July-September of this year, Energoatom cut net loss 65.5 percent quarter-on-quarter to Hr 752.32 million, while net income grew 54.1 percent to Hr 6.057 billion. Gross profit was Hr 378.26 million versus gross loss of Hr 1.656 billion the year before.

Energoatom is the operator of all four Ukrainian-based operating nuclear power plants, which have 15 VVER reactors and overall generating capacity of 13.835 gigawatts.
