Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has accused the companies owned by businessman Dmytro Firtash of abusing power in the management of regional gas supply companies and demanded special accounts be created for gas payments.

“I want to pay special attention to opening special accounts to pay for energy resources. It’s enough having Firtash’s companies to fully control all the regional gas supply companies, when people paid for heat and the money disappeared in regional gas supply companies! According to my information, 32% of accounts have been opened so far. All accounts should be opened by the end of this month. And do not allow oligarchs to steal money from the people’s pockets. We need to pay for gas,” he said at a government meeting on Friday.

He also asked to report the problems with the start of the heating season in the country.
