Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has expressed his fear that the Russian financial crisis will have a negative impact on Ukraine and demanded relevant ministries should take appropriate actions.

“It is clear that with the ruble devaluating, Russians will be trying to sell their goods to Ukraine, as there is a competitive advantage,” the prime minister said, opening a government meeting on Friday.

In this regard, Yatseniuk instructed the Economy Ministry, the State Fiscal Service, and the Agriculture Ministry to hold an emergency meeting today in order “not to allow Russia to destabilize the situation in Ukraine, including through the influx of Russian goods into the territory of Ukraine.”
