You're reading: Entry about language removed from license on television and radio broadcasting, says council

The National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine has approved new samples of applications on the issue (prolongation), re-registration and issue of copies of licenses for broadcasting, where the entry "Language used in broadcasting (%)" was removed, reads a posting on the Web site of the council. 

The report says that the order on August 20, 2012 was signed by the chairman of the council, Volodymyr Manzhosov.

“The above-mentioned documents were drawn up in connection with the taking effect of the law on principles of the state language policy and taking into account many applications of companies. Representatives of the national council in the regions, Kyiv and Sevastopol cities are to inform heads of television and radio broadcasting companies on the possibility of re-registering their broadcasting licenses,” reads the report.
