LVIV – Lviv City Council will hold an extraordinary meeting dedicated to the adoption of the law on the principles of the state language policy on August 30, the Council's press service reported.

“I am calling an extraordinary session and the number one issue will
be an appeal to the Constitutional Court, since the language law took
effect, which in my opinion is the same as a stab in the back. Our
lawyers have studied this document, and we are preparing a petition to
the Constitutional Court. I think deputies will put aside their
electoral affairs and will come to vote for this appeal,” the press
service of Lviv City Council quoted Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy.
