You may have noticed that spring has arrived, with the fragile beauty and perfume of its blooms.
If flowers are your piece of cake, you’ve got to head off to Spivoche pole park, located on the hills of the Dnipro close to Pecherska Lavra. Over 300,000 tulips of more than 22 varieties were planted there this year for us to enjoy in various compositions.
Each flower composition resembles exquisite floral ornaments of Petrykivsky rozpys, decorative folk painting dating back to at least the 19 century, traditional for the village of Petrykivka, Dnipropetrovsk region.
The flowers are on display through May 13, and will be accompanied by an hour-long fireworks display on May 12.
