The tabulation of the ballots cast at 734 out of the 1,082 polling stations in the mayoral elections in Kyiv shows that Vitali Klitschko, the leader of the UDAR party, is racing far ahead of all other contenders, with 56,53 percent of the vote.

Parliamentarian Lesya Orobets garnered 8.54 percent, acting Kyiv city administration head Volodymyr Bondarenko 8.03 percent, former Kyiv Mayor Oleksandr Omelchenko 7.54 percent, and European Party leader Mykola Katerynchuk has 5.13 percent of the vote, a Web site of Kyiv city election commission reported.

The processing of the ballots cast at 694 out of the 1,082 polling stations in elections to the Kyiv City Council shows that the UDAR party led by Klitschko is garnering 39.38 percent of the vote, the Radical Party led by Oleh Liashko 9.14 percent, the Samopomich [Self-Assistance] association led by Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy 6.81 percent, Svoboda 6.47 percent, Batkivschyna 4.12 percent, Hromadyanska Pozytsiya [Civic Position] led by Anatoly Hrytsenko 3.56 percent, Nove Zhyttia [New Life] led by Orobets 3.34 percent, and Yednist [Unity] led by Omelchenko 3.19 percent.

The Democratic Alliance party with 2.96 percent, the European Party of Ukraine with 2.13 percent, the Party of Regions with 1.7 percent, and the Green Party with 1.56 percent are so far not getting enough votes to overcome the 3 percent election threshold and be represented at the city legislature.
