Moscow – The Kremlin is refraining from commenting on the likelihood of a bilateral meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on the sidelines of a Belarusian-Kazakh-Russian Customs Union-Ukraine summit scheduled for Aug. 26 in Minsk.
“The president will have a number of bilateral meetings. The details are being worked on,” Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Interfax when asked whether Putin could have a separate meeting with Poroshenko.
The Kremlin press service had reported earlier on Aug. 19 that Putin would take part in a meeting between the leaders of the Customs Union member-states and Poroshenko in Minsk on Aug. 26, which should also be attended by European Commission representatives.
