You're reading: Prosecutor: Some 125 criminal proceedings launched after presidential elections

A total of 125 criminal proceedings has been registered after the presidential election, which will not affect the election outcome, Public Prosecutor of Ukraine Oleh Makhnitsky has said.

“A total of 125 criminal proceedings were launched, but this concerns persons who tried to prevent the voting process,” he said on the Fifth TV Channel late on May 30.

He said that this is the lowest number of infringements compared to the previous elections. Proceedings mainly concern the events occurred on the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
