Orders of Ukrainian defense enterprise will be increased, and Malyshev Plant will produce a record number of products next month, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said during his visit to the Kharkiv plant on Oct. 11, 2014. 

According to a posting on the Web site of the head of state, at the meeting the top managers of the plant presented a schedule for repair and production of new equipment and shared the production needs of the plant. The issues of investment for designing new models and opening additional orders were discussed.

In his speech, the president expressed gratitude to the workers for the strengthening of defense capacity of the state, improvement of prestige of the Ukrainian defense industry and preservation of traditions.

“You are saving the lives of Ukrainian warriors on the front… Today, the whole country helps militaries, but volunteers cannot bring tanks and armored personnel carriers, so thank you for your team spirit,” Poroshenko said, addressing to the workers.

The president assured that the number of orders for the plant would be increased and the following month it would produce a record number of weapons.
