You're reading: Experts claim Malaysia Airlines’ Boeing 777 crash caused by decompression from missile explosion

A commission investigating the causes of the Boeing 777 air crash in the Donetsk region has said that according to the data from the flight recorders, the breakdown and fall of the plane was caused by "a massive explosive decompression" as a result of multiple fragment impact from the missile explosion.

“Experts from the Boeing 777 crash inquiry commission said that data from the flight recorders indicate that the breakdown and fall of the plane was caused by a massive explosive decompression resulting from multiple fragment impact from the missile explosion,” the Donetsk regional state administration said on its Web site, citing information from analysts at the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).

The Malaysia Airlines’ Boeing 777 which was flying from Amsterdam (the Netherlands) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) crashed in east Ukraine on July 17. It carried 298 people on board, all of them died.
