Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has ordered the transfer to investigators and international experts of the satellite images of the crash site of the Malaysian Boeing passenger plane that was shot down in Donetsk region on July 17, the press service of the head of state reported on Friday, July 25.

“On the instruction of the Ukrainian president to ensure a full and
transparent investigation into the terrorist attack committed on July
17, representatives of the Netherlands police and law enforcement
agencies of other countries whose citizens have become the victims of
the crime, as well as the OSCE mission, will be given the satellite
images of the crash site of the Boeing 777 aircraft, which was shot down
over Ukraine on July 17,” the press service said.

The report notes that thanks to the presence of such images, experts
will be able to establish the exact crash site of the wreckage, even the
one to which there is still no access during investigative measures, or
to prove the absence of fragments of the aircraft, which were removed
by militants from the scene.

“The Ukrainian side is ready to continue to maximally promote a
transparent investigation into the circumstances of the tragedy and to
provide all materials to the international expert commission, which is
conducting the investigation. Efforts by Ukrainian security services and
investigators are aimed at assisting the international commission in
searching for the victims, wreckage and evidence needed for a full
international investigation into the terrorist attack committed over
Ukraine,” reads the report.
