Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has assured the Australian prime minister's special representative on the investigation into the Flight MH17 crash, Allan Grant Houston, that the Ukrainian side has evidence of the time, place and circumstances of the crash of the Malaysian aircraft, and Ukrainian security services are ready to provide all materials of the international expert commission probing the crash.

“The president said he was ready to contribute to a maximally
transparent investigation into the tragedy. The head of state said that
Ukraine has evidence answering the question – when it happened, where
and how. Ukraine’s security services are ready to provide all materials
of the international expert commission investigating the circumstances
of the tragedy with the plane,” the presidential press service reported,
following Poroshenko’s meeting with Houston.

The report notes that Poroshenko described this plane crash as “the
greatest crime committed by terrorists with weapons obtained from
Russia.”

Houston, in turn, said that he had arrived in Ukraine to provide
maximum assistance in conducting the transparent investigation,
overcoming the consequences of the tragedy and identifying the victims.

“The situation with the bodies is very problematic, but we are grateful to you for all the efforts to solve it,” he said.

He also stressed the importance of providing expert access to the crash site.

“Thank you for the support that we got. Everything related to
cooperation with people on the ground is extremely effective,” he said.
