Minsk - The trilateral Contact Group on the Ukrainian crisis decided at a meeting in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, to invite experts to join the talks, Belarusian television stations have reported.

The group’s meeting at the level of experts is expected to continue on Friday, Aug. 1.

The Belarusian TV channels broadcast a muted video that shows
representatives of the Contact Group sitting around the negotiating
table, as well as close-up views of former Ukrainian President Leonid
Kuchma and Russian Ambassador to Kyiv Mikhail Zurabov.

The participants in the meeting did not offer any televised remarks.

The Kyiv authorities, for their part, have reported that at its Minsk
meeting, the trilateral Contact Group agreed that the route used by
international experts to access the crash site of Malaysia Airlines
Flight MH17 on Thursday should be maintained.
