You're reading: Election Commission registers 102 MPs, including 87 Regions Party members

The Central Election Commission (CEC) registered 56 people's deputies at a sitting on Tuesday, in addition to the 46 MPs it registered on Monday. 

In particular, the CEC registered 23 people’s deputies that were elected under the Regions Party list, as well as 33 deputies that were elected in majority constituencies, including 21 candidates from the Regions Party, seven self-nominated candidates, two members of the People’s Party, one from the Soyuz Party, and one from the Radical Party led by Oleh Liashko.

In particular, the CEC registered the following people’s deputies from the Regions Party: Mykhailo Chechetov (No. 21 on the party list), Viktor Yanukovych (No. 22), Elbrus Tedeyev (No. 20), Volodymyr Oliynyk (No. 17), Leonid Kozhara (No. 9), Inna Bohoslovska (No. 60), Oleksandr Stoyan (No. 72), and Yakiv Tabachnik (No. 18).

The CEC also registered 21 people’s deputies from the Regions Party elected in majority constituencies, including Borys Deych (constituency No. 8), Oleksiy Azarov (No. 47), Tetiana Bakhteyeva (No. 42), Serhiy Kliuyev (No. 46), Vladyslav Lukyanov (No. 54), Artem Pshonka (No. 81), Yaroslav Sukhy (No. 74), and Serhiy Kivalov (No. 135).

The CEC also registered as people’s deputies the following self-nominated candidates: Kostiantyn Zhevaho (constituency No. 150), Volodymyr Pylypenko (No. 148), Oleksandr Volkov (No. 158), and Serhiy Buriak (No. 190). The CEC also registered Volodymyr Lytvyn and Serhiy Hrynevetsky that were elected in constituencies No. 65 and 134, respectively, as well as Oleh Liashko from the Radical Party and Lev Myrymsky from the Soyuz Party.

Thus, the CEC has registered 87 of the 185 members of the Regions Party, who were elected to the parliament under the party list and in single-seat constituencies, as well as 11 of 43 self-nominated candidates.
