on social media

“The first priority task of the prosecution agencies is to ensure that the elections are held in strict compliance with the current law, and to prevent violations of the constitutional rights of citizens to freedom of expression,” the media relations department of the Prosecutor General’s Office quoted Pryshko as saying.

Pryshko and Bilous explained that in line with the law on parliamentary elections in Ukraine, the Central Election Commission and district election commissions monitor the observance of the law during the elections. At the same time, if any violations of the law are reported, the prosecution agencies and other law enforcement agencies will take immediate action as required by law.

They also said that task forces had been set up in the central office of the Prosecutor General and the regional prosecutor’s offices, which are made up of the most experienced officers, who will quickly address any issues arising.
