The UDAR Party has never cooperated with the Regions Party and will under no conditions enter into a coalition with the ruling party, UDAR Party leader Vitali Klitschko said on Tuesday.
“We are the main alternative to the current government. We have never cooperated and are not trying to cooperate with the Regions Party. We are offering and abiding by completely different principles and criteria in Ukrainian politics. And we won’t cooperate under any circumstances with the party that has shown its true colors and now meets the interests of a handful of oligarchs,” the party’s press service quoted Klitschko as saying at a meeting with reporters in Cherkasy region.
He said that a coalition in a new parliament would be formed be around ideas and policy goals that are completely different in the Regions Party from UDAR’s positions.
Klitschko said that a democratic majority should be formed in the Verkhovna Rada of the next convocation.
