Activists of Automaidan told journalists about their visit to the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine on Wednesday

"Activists of Automaidan have met today with the U.S. ambassador," one of the activists, Oleksiy Hrytsenko, said at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday.

According to another activist, artist Serhiy Poyarkov, the ambassador promised support and assistance to the protesters.

"If this government wanted to draw the attention of international public to Automaidan, this goal has been achieved," Poyarkov said.

The activists also told the press that provocations were being prepared against them, in particular drugs might be planted in their cars. "If this happens, it is a provocation... We do not have people in a state of alcoholic intoxication, we do not have drug users," Hrytsenko said.

According to him, the activists act exclusively through legal means and do not commit any illegal acts.
