UDAR Party leader Vitali Klitschko has said he does not think that his statement on the intention to run for Ukrainian president in 2015 is premature.

"Understanding all responsibility and after holding consultations with the public, party organizations and people, I made the decision to run for president. We need to change the situation in the country," he said live on Channel 5, when asked whether his statement on the intention to run for the presidency in 2015 was premature.

Speaking about the opposition's vision of the configuration of the future government, Klitschko said that "in the ranks of our party and the opposition in general there are many people who meet many criteria - the desire to live in a normal country, the desire to work, as well as moral criteria."

"I'm sure that we will soon be able to present a government that would be able to change and reform the country," he said.

When asked whether the opposition leaders are discussing the distribution of future posts, Klitschko said: "It's not a task of who will play what role, but we will be able to present the positions and people who will be responsible for certain areas. We don't have much time. We will present this team in spring."

Klitschko said that the main task for the opposition is to change the government in a constitutional manner.

"Along with all the Ukrainians we will manage to succeed in our pressure on the government and replace it in a constitutional manner, without aggression, so as to finally reform the country," he said.

The next presidential elections in Ukraine are to be held in March 2015.
