The Verkhovna Rada meeting on Friday will no longer be held, the leader of the Regions Party faction, Oleksandr Yefremov, has said.

"There will be no meeting today," he said at a briefing on Friday, March 16.

Yefremov said that members of his faction had left the session hall.

"Our deputies have left the hall, because we don’t understand the actions of our colleagues at all," he said.

Yefremov said that the faction would not work in this way but that it works "in accordance with the regulations approved at a meeting of the conciliatory council."

"If our colleagues again start getting emotional and doing what they do, we will switch to another format of work," he said.

As reported, the deputies of the BYT-Batkivschyna faction on Friday blocked the rostrum of parliament. They, in particular, demanded that Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka immediately come to parliament to explain the reasons for the non-admission of people’s deputies to the Kachanivska penal colony.
