The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has provided Hr 12 million to the Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Economy Ministry of Ukraine to the program on the provision of state support to construct or buy affordable housing at the 70/30 scheme using the budget assignments from the general fund of the national budget for 2014 by the Finance Ministry.

Cabinet resolution No. 1005-r of July 17 has been posted on the government’s Web site.

In addition, the government ordered to redistribute Hr 11.03 million as a part of the general assignments of the Finance Ministry from the general fund of the national budget for 2014.

According to the document, the above-mentioned sum was redistributed via the reduction of the sum under the program on the partial compensation of the rate of credits issued by commercial banks to young families and single citizens to construct, reconstruct or buy apartments and the increase the sum under the program on the provision of state support to construct or buy affordable housing.

As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has increased the charter capital of the State Fund for the Promotion of Youth Housing Construction (Kyiv) by Hr 46 million, or 27.8 percent, to Hr 211.335 million. According to Cabinet resolution No. 529 of Oct. 1, the charter capital of the institution was increased at the expense of the national budget for 2014.

According to the document, the mentioned money was issued to the fund for the implementation of the state program for providing youth with housing in 2013-2017.

Earlier Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Ostap Semerak voiced the government’s decision to increase the charter capital of the institution by about Hr 47 million to solve the problem of participants in the 70/30 state affordable housing program.

Deputy Prime Minister and Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Economy Minister Volodymyr Hroisman said that it is planned to provide compensation of Hr 22.2 million to the participants of the 70/30 state affordable housing program who put funds to accounts of Pivdencombank (Donetsk) and Avtokrazbank (Kremenchuk) being liquidated.
