You're reading: Lutsenko says Tax Code should be reformed by new Cabinet

The new members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine should first of all work on Ukrainian Tax Code reform, Head of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Yuriy Lutsenko said in an interview with TSN.

‘There was no reform in this field. Our suggestion is as follows – Ukraine in the current economic and military situation can survive and be reborn, if it has the most liberal economy in Europe with the lowest taxes. We were told that the number of taxes had dropped to nine. In truth, the number of payments grew from 17 to 19, but they are gathered in nine groups. We suggest a radical reform so that we could have four taxes with 12% interest,’ the press service of Petro Poroshenko Bloc quoted Lutsenko as saying.

In addition, Lutsenko said that the Cabinet should conduct radical judicial reform, ensure privatization, and readjust people’s income. He said he supports Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk’s intention to reform the government and thinks that the structure of the Cabinet of Ministers should be changed, so that all the issues under the authority of the ministers could be solved by them.
