Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has suggested that educational programs about the reforms conducted in the country be launched on all Ukrainian TV channels.

“[I] have a suggestion, since media representatives are already here, to address the owners of Ukraine’s TV channels and introduce an education program about what reforms are,” Yatsenyuk said, at a meeting of the National Council of Reforms on Feb. 2 in Kyiv.

The Premier suggested a daily 30-minute format.

“Invite a field-specific minister or head of a parliamentary committee, without a large audience and applause, without ‘like-dislike’ graphs. It has to be an exclusively professional program for every field-specific minister, head of a committee, experts, journalists and professionals in various fields to hold a calm, measured conversation,” PM said.

Yatsenyuk also urged for support for a large-scale media program that will explain what reform means for Ukraine. In addition, he added that officials responsible for specific fields should explain the content and goals of specific reforms.
