MOSCOW - Pussy Riot member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, currently awaiting a court verdict, has been offered by representatives from Playboy to do a photo shoot for the cover of the Ukrainian version of the magazine, the Izvestia newspaper wrote on Aug.15.

"Our readers are actively using social networking sites in which Pussy Riot have been the main heroes in the past few months. We see Nadezhda Tolokonnikova as an art figure and believe that her appearance on the cover of Playboy Ukraine will be positively perceived by our readers," Playboy Ukraine editor-in-chief Vlad Ivanenko told the Russian newspaper.

Talks have stalled, but we hope to resume them if the Tolokonnikova is released following a court ruling due on August 17, he said.

Any female media person can make it to Playboy's front cover, the editor-in-chief said. The company strictly sticks to one rule: the relations must be non-monetary. The magazine does not pay to its cover girls.
