Zhukovsky, Moscow region - The Vladivostok, a Mistral-class landing ship and helicopter carrier being built in France for the Russian Navy, will be armed with Russian weapons systems at the Severnaya Verf (Northern Shipyard) shipbuilding plant in St. Petersburg, Igor Sevastyanov, the head of the Rosoboronexport delegation at the Engineering Technologies 2014 exhibition, told Interfax-AVN on Wednesday, Aug. 13.

“The Vladivostok is being completed. The crews have been billeted in Saint-Nazaire. Their training has begun. All work is being done according to schedule. It will be equipped with Russian-made weapons at Severnaya Verf,” Sevastyanov said.
