TBILISI – Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili has been concerned about Russian military exercises, including those held in Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

“The president believes it is unacceptable to carry out military maneuvers on the occupied Georgian territories,” Tengiz Pkhaladze, the Georgian president’s adviser for foreign affairs said at the Aug. 19 briefing.

He said that Margvelashvili intended to call on the international community to evaluate the fact that Russia carried out military exercises on the territory of another state and to react accordingly.
