Emporis said that the unfinished tower in the Moscow City business
area is higher than the London Shard, which is 310 meters tall and which
has been the tallest building in Europe for two months only.

When the construction is complete, the Mercury City will be 29 meters higher than its London rival.

Mercury Group President Igor Kesayev told Interfax on Thursday that
the recognition of the Mercury City Tower as the highest high-rise
building in Europe was a landmark event both for his company and for the
whole Russia.
