MOSCOW - The police warn that a Thursday rally or picket on Pushkinskaya Square in Moscow's center has not been coordinated with city authorities and will be stopped in compliance with the law.

"The planned meeting of certain deputies with the voters must be held in full correspondence with the selected format, and all the participants must obey by law and order," a source at the city police department told Interfax.

"Any attempts to abuse the format of the meeting will be viewed as violations, which the Moscow police must stop in strict compliance with the law," he said.

A Just Russia deputy of the State Duma Ilya Ponomaryov said on Wednesday that he planned to meet with voters on Pushkinskaya Square on Dec. 29 to support Left Front coordinator Sergei Udaltsov.
