MOSCOW - More than 800 kilograms of high-risk products from Turkey have been withdrawn from commerce by Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing officers, a representative of the Rospotrebnadzor press service told Interfax on Nov. 26.

“Due to the uncovered incompliance of certain types of food products from the Turkish republic with the quality and security requirements throughout the year 2015, Rospotrebnadzor is exercising enhanced control over products from Turkey belonging to the high-risk group: meat products, water bio-resources, confectionary products, fruit, vegetables, nuts and their derivatives,” he said.

“More than 800 kilograms of the aforesaid products have been withdrawn from commerce following tests. Rospotrebnadzor continues to control the situation,” he said.
