MOSCOW - Russia increased production of coking coal by 8.5% year-on-year to 39.2 million tonnes in the first seven months of 2012, the Central Dispatching Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex (CDU TEK) reported.
The Kemerovo Region raised production by 2.7% year-on-year to 27.5
million tonnes in the seven months, including 13.6% to 4.6 million
tonnes in July.
Producers delivered 3.3 million tonnes of coking coal to Russian
coke-chemical and metallurgical plants in July, 0.5% less year-on-year.
These shipments fell 8.1% in 7M.
However, shipments in July jumped 24.1% to 411,700 tonnes to CIS
countries, including 405,900 tonnes to Ukraine, and 4.8% to 645,410
tonnes to countries outside the CIS.
