MOSCOW - The synchronization of "a political and a military package" in settling the Donbas conflict should be prioritized over the issue of Kyiv's regaining control over its border with Russia, Russian Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov said.

“They (the Ukrainians) have long been raising this issue (Kyiv’s regaining control over the border with Russia), and it’s not a priority,” Zurabov said in reply to a question from Interfax.

Asked what should be prioritized in the settlement process in Ukraine now, Zurabov replied, “A political and a military package – it’s necessary to synchronize and start implementing them.”
