Russia is not planning to leave the European Union's sanctions unanswered, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
“Attempts to speak with Russia in the language of force and threaten Russian citizens with sanctions lead to nowhere. The adoption of restrictive measures is not our choice, but it is understandable that the sanctions imposed against us will not be left without an appropriate response on Russia’s part,” the ministry said in commenting on an EU Foreign Affairs Council decision on Ukraine.
