MOSCOW - The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Special Envoy, Martin Sajdik, is to visit Moscow on September 8-9 to hold talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Ministry said on August 31.

“At the meeting, it is planed to thoroughly discuss issues related to the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis with the emphasis on the need for the conflicting parties promptly implementing their obligations under the Package of Measures agreed in Minsk,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova told a briefing conference.

“Discussing different aspects of the activities pursued by the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission will be an important part of the talks,” she said.

“The Russian side plans to draw Mr. Sajdik’s attention to the need to raise objectivity and impartiality of the reports compiled under the aegis of the OSCE,” she said.

Increasing the number of the OSCE monitors on both sides of the contact line in Donbas, as well as the prospect of reinforcement of their mission remains on the agenda, Zakharova added.
