As of now, the single list of websites with banned information comprises 2,562 names, the Russian Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Telecom, Information Technologies and Mass Communications, Roskomnadzor, said in a statement.
“Out of all the listings, 2,207 cases are related to websites with drug addiction propaganda, 252 – to websites containing information on ways to commit suicide and appeals to commit suicide and 69 – to resources with child pornography,” the statement said.
On July 11-18, 2013, 220 new listings were added. A total of 148 Internet resources have been excluded from the list due to complying with Roskomnadzor’s demands to delete the illegal information.
