Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has decided to celebrate the New Year's in Afghanistan.

The Georgian presidential Facebook page posted a statement on Tuesday
saying that Saakashvili will celebrate the New Year together with
Georgian military servicemen taking part in the International Security
Assistance Force’s (ISAF) mission in Afghanistan.

Saakashvili will arrive in Afghanistan shortly before the New Year’s to personally greet the servicemen and celebrate with them.

This will be Saakashvili’s second visit to the Georgian servicemen’s
base in the province of Helmand. The first time he traveled there in
February 2012. During that visit, he took part in a patrolling mission
aboard an armored personnel carrier.
