The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a resolution to support a national project, entitled "Olympic Hope 2022: The Creation of Sports and Tourism Infrastructure," approving a preliminary feasibility study for the project submitted by the State Agency for Investment and National Projects.
The national project envisages measures that have to be taken to
submit in 2014 for the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to bid to
host the Winter Olympics in Ukraine in 2022, the government’s press
service reported on Monday.
In particular, Ukraine has to complete sports infrastructure in
2012-2021, including the Borzhava ski resort in Lviv region. It is also
planned to build transport infrastructure, including airports, highways
and railway facilities.

The national project will be funded by private investors and from state and local budgets.
According to the government resolution, the Cabinet of Ministers
should receive within a month proposals for the determination of a
central executive government agency responsible for the coordination of
activities on the preparation and support of the bid to the IOC for the
right to stage Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2022, as well as
measures to be taken to prepare the infrastructure required for the

(Germany) is the developer of the feasibility study for the project.
