Ukraine's Olympic training base in Koncha Zaspa for the first time in Ukraine will open a scientific, medical and physiotherapy center for athletes.

“Last year a decision to allocate Hr 410 million for the
construction of new sports facilities at the Olympic training base,
where there will be a swimming pool, an athletics stadium, a riding
hall, a games hall, a scientific center, and a physiotherapy center, was
taken and supported by Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov.

These are two
key factors. There is no infrastructure for coaching, genetics, science
and physiotherapy in Ukraine yet. The first scientific, medical and
physiotherapy center will be created in Koncha Zaspa,” Youth and Sport
Minister Ravil Safiullin told in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

He said that the Populos British architecture bureau, which took part
in the creation of the concept of five Olympiads, would participate in
the construction of the base.

“We’re talking about not just building the physical facilities, but
about the right to use these complexes. They should at a minimum pay
their way, ideally bring profit, but there main job is to work for the
development a high performance sports, as well as mass sport,” the
minister said.
