John Terry is a doubt for England's World Cup qualifying double-header against Moldova and Ukraine on 7 and 11 September after missing Chelsea's win over Newcastle United on Saturday with a stiff neck.

Roberto Di Matteo, the Chelsea manager, said Terry “fell last
Wednesday [against Reading] and hit his head on the ground. He has a
neck problem but hopefully it won’t be long-term. I will have to monitor
him in the next few days, the next week, and see how he recovers.”
