You're reading: Ukrainian athletes win five more medals in swimming at Paralympic Games in London

Ukraine has won four gold, two silver and three bronze medals on the fifth day of the Paralympic Games in London, according to a statement posted on the Web site of the National Sports Committee for the Disabled of Ukraine.

Ukrainian took five out of nine medals in swimming: two gold, one silver and two bronze medals.

Viktoria Savtsova won a gold medal in the women’s 100m breaststroke (SB6), with a result of 1:39.13 (Paralympic record).

Yevhen Bohodaiko also claimed a gold medal in the men’s 100m breaststroke (SB6) – 1:20.17.

Ukraine is now in fourth place in medal count, with 23 gold, 17 silver and 20 bronze medals.
