You're reading: Amstor leases 4,000 square meters in Marmelad trade center in Kyiv

The Amstor Group, which is developing the eponymous supermarket chain, has leased 4,000 square meters of space in the Marmelad trade and entertainment center at 154, Borschahivska Street in Kyiv, which is scheduled for opening in September 2012, reads a posting on the official Web site of the trade center.

The report says that the leasing agreement with the anchor company was signed in late December 2011.

The supermarket, which will be the second store of the Amstor chain in Kyiv, will be located on the ground floor of the six-level trade center.

The report says that the Sport Life fitness club is another anchor leaser of the trade center.

The gross area of the Marmelad trade center, which is developed by Mava industrial and commercial firm (Kyiv) is 58,000 square meters in area, while the gross leasing area is 40,000 square meters.

The center will also include a multilevel parking area for 1,000 cars. The amount of investment in the realization of the project has not been disclosed.

Mava industrial and commercial firm was established in 1998. The firm operates on the real estate market.

In 2010, the company cut its net loss by 33% on 2009, to Hr 21.26 million. The uncompleted construction expanded by 5.6% in 2010, to Hr 649.68 million.

According to market players, Mava is affiliated with Vadym Marisenko, who ran for the post of Kyiv mayor post from the Agrarian Party of Ukraine in 2008.

Marisenko now is head of the social and economic development commission of Kyiv City Council.
