Another 29 citizens of Ukraine will soon be evacuated from Syria, according to the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine.
“Due to the efforts of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry some 239
citizens of Ukraine, who wished to return home, were evacuated in less
than a week… Another 29 Ukrainians will be evacuated soon with the
assistance of the International Organization for Migration and the
Foreign Ministry of Ukraine,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleksandr
Dykusarov said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
He said the Ukrainian Embassy in Syria was continuing to compile lists of citizens who wanted to be evacuated.
At the same time, due to the fact that the security situation in
Damascus is improving, the number of Ukrainian citizens wishing to
return home is constantly changing, Dykusarov said.
