The Ukrainian security forces are in full control over the external radius of Sloviansk and all the adjacent roads, head of the Antiterrorist Center Vasyl Krutov has said.
“Today, we have full control over the external radius of this town
with its 14 checkpoints controlled by antiterrorist forces,” he said at a
briefing on Saturday.
Control has been regained over the Sloviansk television tower, as a
result of which the broadcasting of Russian television channels has been
switched off, Krutov said.
“Having blocked Sloviansk, we are thus able to prevent subversive
groups from approaching the town, moving weapons and material supplies.
All major motorways are currently controlled by the antiterrorist
forces,” the antiterrorist chief said.
