About 30 people who took part in riots outside the parliament building have already been arrested, including the person who threw a grenade, the minister recalled.

“The arrested, Ihor Volodymyrovych Humeniuk, used an RGO grenade, the military will tell what kind of a grenade it was. He had one grenade with him at the time of the arrest and admitted he had thrown another one. He had a pin from the grenade,” Avakov said.

This man referred to himself as a Svoboda supporter and Sych battalion soldier currently on a leave from August 3 till September 3, the minister said.

“Grenades, thunder flashes and pellets were thrown, they were used along with improvised devices to which various objects were attached, including metal pieces,” he said.
