Ukraine will continue the credit program of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) only if it contributes to the development of the national economy, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.
“We have coped for two years without the IMF loans. We have our own approaches to the continuation of the program. If the continuation of the program contributes to the development of our economy, we are all for it. If it works to reduce the volume of the GDP and makes our people poorer than they are now, we are against. We do not hide it,” the prime minister said in an interview, with Channel 5 on Thursday.
