Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov has said there is a significant volume of impending expenses for servicing Ukraine's domestic debts in April-May 2010.

"We need to pay Hr 6 billion in April and Hr 5 billion in May," Azarov said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday, Apr. 20.

Azarov said that another Hr 4 billion from the national budget has to be paid to the Pension Fund as an interest-free loan.

According to the prime minister, revenues in taxes and fees from the State Customs Service have to be Hr 4-5 billion and revenues from the State Tax Administration have to be Hr 2 billion.

Azarov said the work of his predecessors "irresponsible" as it had led to such internal debts.

"The previous government set this trap for us. They knew they would be leaving, therefore they acted in this irresponsible manner," he said.

Azarov said that the government would do everything possible to pay the debts and make social payments.
