Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said that the National Cancer Institute in Kyiv can be turned into an ultra-modern medical center in two or three years.

"I think that in two or three years we can turn the Cancer Institute into an ultra-modern medical center so that its buildings are normal and doctors make a decent living," he said at the opening ceremony of a surgery unit in the National Cancer Institute in Kyiv on Tuesday.

Azarov also said that it had been decided to build a modern chemotherapy unit in the institute next year.

He noted that the government would pay much attention to the fight against cancer diseases.
