The implementation of the state economic development stimulation program for 2013-2014 will help attract additional funds by the end of this year, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.

“I’m deeply convinced that the economic development stimulation program will help obtain additional funds. There is no doubt about it,” the government’s press service quoted him as saying at a meeting on considering regional aspects of the implementation of the program in Yalta on Tuesday.

Azarov called on regional governors to actively work on the development and introduction of large-scale investment projects that will contribute to the development of the economy of the regions and the country as a whole.

In addition, it was also decided at the meeting that the government would hold an extended meeting in early September on the issues of more effective coordination of state and regional policies and interaction between sectoral management bodies and local state administrations.
