Shostka – Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov says he has not lost hope in agreeing with Russia on the revision of the price of Russian gas for Ukraine.

“We want to agree with Russia, we’re pressing, but they are not giving up. [But] I think we’ll manage to agree,” he said at a meeting with workers of Bel Shostka Ukraine cheese factory (Sumy region) on August 9, 2012.

Azarov said that due to the very high price of gas, Ukraine had decided to switch to using expensive Ukrainian coal, and develop and increase coal extraction.
