"This year marks the 20th anniversary of our cooperation with the International Monetary Fund. We need to celebrate this date somehow, through intensifying our cooperation for instance. I also would like to congratulate you on the appointment as head of the IMF mission in our country.
Over 20 years our cooperation I can only speak highly about those heads of the IMF missions with whom I worked. I hope we will have good relations with you too," the Ukrainian government’s press service quoted Azarov as saying during the meeting with the IMF official on Friday.
In turn, Jarvis said that Ukraine had managed to achieve significant progress in structural reforms, recovery of the financial sector and returning public confidence in the banking sector.
